William L. Day Obituary, Death – It is with the utmost sadness that we have learnt of the demise of Reverend William L. Day, who served as the Rector of St. Matthew’s from 1969 to 1978. His passing has left us with a profound sense of loss. His employment there lasted from the years 1969 through 1978. We learned that he had passed away after it was brought to our knowledge.
Fr. Bill passed away on March 24 in the wonderful state of Texas, where he had spent the majority of his life and where he was known to most people. At the time of the interview, he had already lived for 87 years. He is survived by his son, Mark Day (and his wife Deana), his daughter, Katherine Day Turner (and her husband James), and four grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Day Turner (and her husband James). Katherine Day Turner, his daughter, is the one who will carry on his legacy (and her husband James).
His daughter, Katherine Day Turner, is the person who will carry on his legacy once he is gone (and her husband James). Betty, his loving wife of many years and the love of his life, passed away in 2012, a year before he did. She was the passion of his life. At a later period, additional details regarding the services that will be rendered will be made available to the public. My sincere prayers are that, Lord, you grant him eternal peace, and that there be a light that shines upon him continually. Please hear my supplications and grant them.
