Wayne Sims Obituary, Death – Wayne Sims a former LSU basketball player sadly passed away at age 54. Wayne Sims had been a member of the LSU basketball squad. Wayde Sims, a football player at LSU was only 20 years old when he was killed in a shooting in 2018, Wayne a DeRidder native was his father.
The gunshot that took Wayde’s life occurred in 2018. That individual was Wayde Sims’s biological father. From 1987 until 1991, Wayne Sims participated in basketball for the LSU Tigers as a member of the team. During that time period, he was active as a player.

Wayde, the son of the father, was killed in 2018 while attempting to break up a fight that was taking place on the street just off the campus of Southern University. The fight took place on the street that runs parallel to the university’s perimeter. After being found to be guilty of the death of Wayde, Dyteon Simpson was given a life term in jail the year before. After a period of time had passed, the body of Simpson was discovered in the prison, and it was concluded that he had passed away as a result of an overdose.
