Tony Moeder Obituary, Death – Tony Moeder of Cedar Rapids, Ohio has sadly passed away. Tony started his professional career in the transportation field working for E. J. Pope & Son, Inc. as a truck driver not long after he graduated from high school and completed his studies there.
After that, he started working at Pope’s 66 Service Station, where he eventually became the manager and operator of the business. He remained in those roles until 1999 when he opened Tony’s Service Center. Nearly 30 years have passed since he began working in the car repair industry. Tony was recognized throughout the community for his expertise in repairing wreckers and motors, and he had a wide circle of friends who counted themselves among their numbers.
In addition to this, Tony had a stellar reputation for being quite affable. The Christian community of the Selah Church, which was located in the town of Grantham, was one in which he participated actively. Tony is survived by his wife, Cathy Jernigan Grady, who continues to reside at the family home; a son, Anthony R. Grady, and a wife, Samantha, who lives in Mount Olive.
A daughter, Jenny Leigh Grady, who lives in Raleigh; a step-daughter, Angela Jernigan Rogers, who lives in Clayton; four grandchildren, including Pierson Grady, Allie Dunekack, Tyler Dunekack, and Tanner Bain; two brothers. His mother, Nan Scott Grady Sutton, his father, Joseph Grady, and his brother Charles Grady had all passed away before he was even conceived, therefore none of his close family members were there to welcome him into the world. The only member of his immediate family to have survived, he was the sole survivor of his family.
