Tillman Tumbleston Obituary, Columbia SC, Resident Has Sadly Passed Away – Death

Tillman Tumbleston Obituary, Death – On April 2, 2023, Tillman Roy Tumbleston Waynick, who was 26 years old, passed away. His parents, Jonathan Brent Waynick and Jill Jordan Gulledge Waynick gave birth to him in Columbia on January 23, 1997. He was their son. He attended Laurence Manning Academy and graduated in 2015; he was also a member of the Harmony Church.

Tillman was a passionate admirer of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, as well as a hunter, golfer, and all-around outdoorsman. He beat cancer and lived to tell about it. Tillman’s heart was always with his brother and sister, and he had a strong love for all of his cousins. His LMA family and friends held a very unique place in his heart.

He was very grateful for both. The warmth of Tillman’s grin and his genuine concern for the well-being of others filled every space he entered. He is survived by his parents, who reside in Sumter; his three siblings, Kinsley McCall Waynick, Sims Kelly Waynick, and Banks Gregory Waynick; his maternal grandparents, Jean Floyd, and Deanie Singleton, both of Sumter; and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His maternal grandparents are Harold R. and Gail Waynick, Jr. and his paternal grandparents are Harold R. and Gail Waynick, Sr. Both of his grandfathers had passed away before he was born: David Tillman Floyd, Jr., his maternal grandfather, and Roy Tumbleston, his paternal grandfather. On Friday, April 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., a funeral ceremony will be placed at the chapel of the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, which is located at 515 Miller Road in Sumter. After the service, the interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cagney Brunson, Steven Prebish, Burgess Jordan, Todd Larrimer, Evan Todd, Davis Martin, Justin Alsbrook, Spencer Stamps, and Tyler Riles will serve as the pallbearers during the funeral service. Visitation will be held at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home beginning one hour before the funeral at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m., as well as at other times at the residence of his parents located at 3515 Preserve Drive in Sumter.
