Terrell Young Obituary, Former Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Has Passed Away

Terrell Young Obituary, Death – Deputy Terrell Young, who served with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years, passed away in the early morning hours of April 2, 2020, due to difficulties induced by a work-related illness. He had been with the agency for 15 years.

When Deputy Young arrived at his workstation at the jail on March 22, 2020, he immediately became ill and reported having a temperature. After five days, Deputy Young reported that he was having trouble breathing and was taken to the intensive care unit at Loma Linda Hospital in Murrieta. After further examination, it was determined that he had respiratory failure and he was later placed on a mechanical ventilator.

On the 2nd of April, Deputy Young was diagnosed with bradycardia. Around 3:30 in the morning, despite the efforts of the intensive care unit staff to perform advanced lifesaving procedures, Deputy Young sadly died away. On December 8, 2005, Deputy Young started his employment with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. He has served in a variety of capacities, including those at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Institution, the Perris Station, Court Services, the Southwest Station, and the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center.

Deputy Young served in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1993, when he was honorably discharged from the service. He served his country with distinction. He was a committed family man as well as an active and devoted member of the church that he attended. The family of Deputy Terrell Young, who passed away at the age of 52, consists of his wife of 31 years and their four children.
