Shirley Greer Obituary, Death – Shirley Campbell Greer passed away in a calm and dignified manner. The 21st of September, 1931 found Shirley Ann Campbell being welcomed into the world in Statesville, North Carolina by her parents, Ann Roseman Campbell and Albert Spencer Campbell. After completing her education at the Celeste Henkel School in Statesville and receiving her diploma, she went on to marry Paul Stanley Greer.
Shirley majored in accounting at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Paul completed his education and became an ardent supporter of the Tar Heels for the rest of her life. After that, the pair uprooted their lives and settled in Greenville, North Carolina, where Shirley took a job in the accounting department of East Carolina University. After moving her family to Greensboro, North Carolina, she found a job at UNC-Greensboro, where she contributed to the establishment of the university’s budget. Shirley was provided with compassionate care by two angels, Shana and Selena, who are now considered to be part of the family because of their close relationship with Shirley.
