Robert O’Keefe Obituary, Death – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor, and Hillsborough Township Chief of Police Michael McMahon announced the arrest of Amanda O’Keefe, 37, Hillsborough, New Jersey, in connection with the death of her husband, Robert O’Keefe, 41, who was struck by a vehicle at his home on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
Prosecutor McDonald said Hillsborough Township Police and Emergency Services responded to a 9-1-1 call at 2:28 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Amanda O’Keefe’s automobile struck and killed Robert O’Keefe. The Hillsborough Township Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and C.A.R.T. investigated the scene. New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office investigators also arrived.
Amanda O’Keefe was over the legal Blood Alcohol Concentration (B.A.C.) level. Amanda O’Keefe was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree Death by Vehicle at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office on March 29, 2023. Defendant O’Keefe was jailed in Somerset County and released on Thursday, March 30, 2023, with conditions. Investigations continue.
