Robert Millar obituary, Death – Robert Millar died unexpectedly on April 9, 2023, when he was 46 years old. Robert Millar’s family announces his death with heavy hearts and deep regret. Rob, affectionately known as “Millar” by his wife Mary (née Hepburn), with whom he had been married for seventeen years, and his children Ewan and Bree, who were his entire world, will be greatly missed. He was a loving son to his parents, Barry and Ann Millar.

Dear brother of Helen Millar-Pollock, also known as Alan, and Alex Millar, also known as Laurie. The son-in-law and heir presumptive of Robert and Joanne Hepburn. Jonathan Hepburn’s (Barb) brother and David Hepburn’s brother-in-law. Aidan, Chloe, and Bella, as well as Rhyan, Sam, and Georgia, all call him uncle. Although Rob was born in Hamilton, Ontario, he spent his childhood in Grimsby and eventually opted to raise his family there.

He graduated from Mohawk College, obtained the famous Red Seal carpenter qualification, and spent many years working in Northern Alberta. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union Local 18 in Hamilton. Rob’s most recent academic attempt at Brock University was to finish his Master of Education in Construction Technology. It had long been his ambition to “coast into retirement” by acquiring a job in a shop and using that position to impart the knowledge and experience he had accumulated over his career with future generations.

He was an active member of the Grimsby Gentlemen Rugby Football Club in his formative years, where he played in sports such as rugby and soccer.
