Robert Martineau Obituary, Death – At the time of his death, former McKees Rocks Police Chief Robert “Marty” Martineau was 84 years old. The McKees Rocks Police Department would like to extend its deepest condolences to the Martineau family on the passing of Robert “Marty” Martineau. Martineau left us earlier this week after a brief illness.
Over the course of 46 years, Marty devoted every waking moment of his life to serving the community and the department (1962-2008).
Individuals who were close to him and knew him well would say things about him such as how devoted he was to his family, how punctual he was, how focused and motivated he was, how much fun he had, how hilarious he was, and how large of a personality he possesses. He would constantly have a smirk or smile on his face underneath his white uniform shirt.
In addition to words of love and encouragement that he would murmur to others who were near him. His shirt was white because that was his uniform.
