Rickey Stokes Obituary, Death – At around 8:50 p.m., Dothan Communications informed officers of the Dothan Police Department about a report of gunshots being heard on Arlington Drive. At 8:57 in the evening, another call came in stating that approximately ten rounds had been fired on Woodland. This time, the caller provided a description of the car that was seen.
The Dothan Police Department was already present and swiftly located the vehicle. As the officer tried to make a traffic stop on the car that matched the description, the vehicle proceeded to go along Dusy until it reached Franklin, turned north onto Oats, and then drove east onto Lafayette before arriving at Ussery Street.
At this point, the people inside the vehicle abandoned it and rushed away. Dothan Police Department established a perimeter and requested the assistance of the Houston County Sheriff Tracking K9. Additional teams have begun searching the vehicle that was abandoned and has already discovered many guns as a result of their efforts.
They also know who they are looking for because most people forget there are various ways to find the owner of a car when they leave it somewhere and someone else drives it. The automobile will be impounded as soon as possible by the Dothan Police Department as evidence. Update 10:15 pm At this moment, the units that were previously on the scene have been brought back into duty.
Despite this, both the Dothan Police Department and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office have information on the suspect and will work together to get a warrant signed for their arrest. You may have escaped tonight, but one thing is for certain: many firearms have been removed from the streets. Also, you have lost your transportation, and they will catch up with you later. If you or anybody you know has any information regarding this incident or the people involved, please contact the Dothan Police Department at (334) 615.3000.
