Red Deer, Alberta – On March 29, 2023, at 8:22 in the morning, the Red Deer RCMP responded to a report concerning shots being fired at a residence close to the intersection of 38 Street and 41 Avenue in the city of Red Deer. The call came in after the RCMP received information about the incident. Praise be to God, the accident didn’t result in anyone getting wounded.
Because of the location of the event, the RCMP contacted the schools that were adjacent to it. In response, the schools placed their kids and staff on “hold and secure” status. This status has been deleted, and the change will take effect immediately. Despite the fact that they have only just begun their investigation, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) believe that this was a targeted occurrence and that there is no ongoing threat to the broader public.
This is even though they have only just begun their inquiry.
