Nick Brossoit Obituary, Death – Nick Brossoit, who had previously served as our prior superintendent and had been waging a long and grueling battle against cancer, passed away this evening after losing his fight with the disease.
He had been battling cancer for a very long time. He had been battling cancer for a considerable amount of time and had been doing so despite facing tremendous challenges.
Nick was an effective leader because he simultaneously handled problems from a relational and a visionary vantage point. He was one of the first superintendents to join the lawsuit against the district as a plaintiff in the McCleary case.
The action was brought against the district. He did this despite the fact that he was well aware of the fact that changing the way that education is funded in our state would call for bold action; however, he still went ahead and did it anyway.
He did this despite the fact that he was well aware of the fact that changing the way that education is funded in our state would call for bold action.
Because he served as President of the organization that was responsible for the formation of the legal issue, his testimony delivered under oath was so powerful, and this functioned in everyone’s favor.
Everyone who is a part of the public education system in the state of Washington, including students and staff employees, has directly benefited as a direct result of his daring and leadership.
This includes the state of Washington. This includes the head of the state education department.
