Neal Freeman Obituary, Death – Neal R. Freeman, who was 73 years old and from Van Buren, Indiana, passed away at 12:57 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Marion General Hospital. Everett and Mary Harley welcomed their son Neal into the world on October 30, 1949, in the city of Muncie, Indiana. After completing his high school education at Jefferson, he wed Angeline “Angie” Freeman on the

31st of May, 1969 in the city of Gas City, Indiana. In October of 1992, Neal took his retirement from Sheller Globe in Montpelier, Indiana, where he had worked for many years. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and playing cards in his own time. He was a man who was unyielding and unbending in his beliefs, and he loved his family to no end. It would be an understatement to say that we would miss having him around. His mother and father, along with his sister Carmen Culley and brother Jake Freeman,

all passed away before Neal. Loving survivors include his wife of 53 years, Angie Freeman of Van Buren, IN, daughters, Michelle Ashbaugh of Van Buren, IN, Amber Ailes of Van Buren, IN, and Andrea (Robert) Whitegon of Warren, IN, grandchildren, Noah Slusher, Adam Slusher, Donnavon Freeman, Kyler Slusher,

Rilee Martin and Ashley McDonald, great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kenna, Matthew, and Lance, sister, Amy (Chad) Armstrong of Summitville, IN, and brother, Ricky Lee (Brenda) Freeman of Montpelier, IN. On Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 10 AM to 2 PM, friends and family are invited to congregate at the Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, which is situated at 201 W. Main St., Van Buren, IN 46991 to share stories and memories of the deceased. At 2:00 in the afternoon,

there will be a funeral service. After the funeral, the burial will take place in Van Buren Cemetery. In place of sending flowers, those wishing to honor the deceased might make donations to the mortuary to help defray the costs incurred by the family. Services have been given to Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren.
