Lola McDuffie Obituary, Death – West of Geneva, Alabama, Lola Merle McDuffe West, who had been ill for some time, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. She was 94 years old at the time of her death. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., the day after the deceased’s passing.
Following the funeral service, the deceased person will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery in Geneva, Alabama, under the auspices of the Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home. In the funeral home, where the ceremonies will be place on Wednesday, beginning at one in the afternoon, the family will meet and greet those who have come to pay their respects. Lola McDuffie was born in Geneva County, Alabama on March 28, 1929.
Her parents, Daniel McDuffie and Ella Roney McDuffie, have both passed away since their daughter’s birth. She was the owner of Lola’s Beauty Salon in Geneva, which she managed for a good number of years during her career in the beauty industry. Her parents were the ones who had passed away before she did, and Maria West, one of her kids, also passed away before she did. The only members of her family to have survived her passing are her husband, T.D. West, of Geneva, Alabama; her son, Tim West, of Pensacola, Florida; and one granddaughter, Lexi West, also of Pensacola, Florida. Catherine Jones has given our family a tremendous amount of compassion and care, and we would want to use this opportunity to convey our gratitude to her for her efforts in this regard.
