Kuniko Firmin Obituary, Active Member Of Maysville Fire Department Has Passed Away

Kuniko Firmin Obituary, Death – We are saddened to inform you that one of our lifetime members passed away recently, and we want you to know how sorry we are about this loss. We have known this person for a very long time. On February 26, 2023, Kuniko “Tonie” Firmin passed away after a long and ultimately fruitless battle against cancer. For the past 34 years, Tonie has been a dedicated member of the Maysville Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department.

She has volunteered her time in the past. Even when she was well into her late 70s, when she was in the twilight years of her life, she continued to be an active participant in the Maysville Fire & EMS training. She was a highly active member of her community and always made herself available to lend a hand in whatever capacity was required and in whatever way was appropriate. As a result of her departure, nearly every member of our department as well as the community as a whole will miss her in a very meaningful way.

In order to celebrate the life of the individual who went away, a Memorial Service will be performed in the Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville on April 1, 2023 at eleven in the morning. This service will be held in memory of the person who passed away. Maysville Fire & EMS, which can be situated at 404 Main Street, Maysville, North Carolina 28555, will serve as the venue for the reception that will take place right after the funeral services have concluded.
