Joseph Stanley Obituary, Former fire captain for the city of Raleigh Has Sadly Passed Away

Joseph Stanley Obituary, Death – Joseph Stanley “Stan” Ray, who served as a fire captain for the city of Raleigh until the day of his death on April 7 at his house in Zebulon, passed away there. He served in that capacity for a considerable amount of time. Since 1971, he had been volunteering his services to the community in a variety of

different roles. At the time of the incident, he already had 73 years under his belt. There has only ever been one family, the Rays, in whom members of each of the four generations have had steady employment with the government agency. The Rays are the only team to have achieved this feat. His grandfather, Lt. Joe Ray Senior, was a military veteran who served for a number of years before eventually hanging up his uniform. (1976). Ray, who is not only a Captain but also an Incident Safety Officer, is one in charge of the day-to-day operations of the family business at this time. (A shift). His stepgrandson Jordan Lairson is currently serving in the Fire Department as a First Class Firefighter. In this capacity, he is honoring the legacy of his grandfather. (Sta 15-A). His

grandson, Scott Ray, who currently occupies the post of Recruit in the fire department, is undergoing training at the moment. On Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., a memorial ceremony will be held at the gravesite in the cemetery that is owned by Pearce Baptist Church. The service will take place in the cemetery. Road, Zebulon). The Reverend Mark Cottrell is going to serve as the event’s officiant, therefore he will be in charge of presiding over the ceremony. Before the Graveside Service that will take place on Saturday at three in the afternoon, the family will host a reception for guests in the Church Fellowship Hall beginning at one in the afternoon on Saturday. The reception will begin at one o’clock in the afternoon. The home of the family is going to be the location of some more events that will take place later.
