Joseph Stanley Obituary, Death – Joseph Stanley “Stan” Ray, who served as a fire captain for the city of Raleigh until the day of his death on April 7 at his house in Zebulon, passed away there. He served in that capacity for a considerable amount of time. Since 1971, he had been volunteering his services to the community in a variety of
different roles. At the time of the incident, he already had 73 years under his belt.
