Joseph Burroughs Obituary, Death – On Monday, April 3, 2023, Joseph Thomas Burroughs, Jr., age 42, passed away at the residence he shared with his family. He was Haley Thomas Burroughs’ husband during their time together.
On the 14th of January in 1981, he was born in Georgetown, and his parents were Faith June Howard Long and Joseph Thomas Burroughs. He was the son of Faith June Howard Long and Joseph Thomas Burroughs.
Mr. Burroughs filled his free time with activities he enjoyed, such as working on his boat, going fishing, and hanging out with his family. He attended the St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a member.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; mother and step-father, Kenneth Long of Andrews; father of Kingstree; two sons, Emory Burroughs and Ethan Burroughs both of Georgetown; one sister, Sheena Williamson of Kingstree; one brother, Joshua Burroughs of Lake City; mother-in-law, Deborah Thomas of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
James Leroy Howard and Margaret Juanita Howard were his maternal grandparents, and John Burroughs and Patricia Burroughs were his paternal grandparents.
He was named after his maternal grandfather. In addition to him, Dwight Thomas, his father-in-law, passed away before he did.
Funeral services will be held at St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church at four o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The date and time of the services have not yet been determined.
Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the interment will take place at the Lambert Cemetery. The family will be at the church on Tuesday evening from six o’clock until eight o’clock in order to meet and greet friends.
