Jocelyn Morlock’s Obituary, Death – After finding out about the passing of Jocelyn Morlock late yesterday evening, I decided to turn on the lights above my piano. Her music “My Name is Amanda Todd” is one of the things I’ve ever heard that has impacted me the most. It is also the most wondrously beautiful song I’ve ever heard,
and I count it as one of the greatest privileges of my life to have been able to observe its live performance. A wonderful musician who left us much too soon after a very short life. I would like to express my most sincere condolences to her family, as well as to her friends and coworkers. She had only reached the age of 53 when she had already produced a collection of work that was excellent…
She had a lot more to contribute in terms of the aesthetic side of things, that much is certain, but even so… This causes me to ponder whether or not you possess any artistic or musical talent of your own. Have you given any thought to the choices you have? Are we correct in assuming that you are keeping it very close to your heart? Strangling it? Why? …
It is already a significant amount later than you believe it to be. Just be kind enough to give your resources without making any excuses for doing so. Obtaining this information was a really upsetting experience for me. Jocelyn presented us with stunning music that spoke to us on a profound level and resonated with us on every level of the human experience. But more than her incredible talent, the things I’ll miss the most about her are her kind and generous nature, as well as her unique and eccentric personality. She was in a class all by herself.
