Isabella Ruiz Obituary, Death – On the evening of Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11:51 p.m., deputies who were assigned to the Lake Matthews Sheriff’s Station received a call to respond to the scene of a shooting that had taken place in the Woodcrest neighborhood, which is located on the 18000 block of Gentian Avenue. The incident had taken place at approximately the same time.
Upon arrival, deputy sheriffs were directed into a residence, where they found an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was in critical condition. The victim was transported to a hospital in the area; however, she was unable to recover from the effects of her injury and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the facility. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, the victim did not survive. After the crime scene was secured, the Central Homicide Unit arrived there to take over the investigation. This occurred shortly after their arrival at the scene of the crime.
The victim, identified as Isabella Ruiz, was found to be a resident of Riverside. At the time of the incident, Isabella Ruiz was 21 years old. The suspect, identified as Brady Castillo, a resident of Riverside who is 21 years old, was taken into custody and booked on the charge that was listed.
