Dave Schliek Obituary, Death – This morning, at 5:10 o’clock, on the 10th of April, heaven welcomed the finest individual that they had ever been able to locate. He had been looking for a very long period at this point. He had invested a fairly sizeable amount of time and effort in the search for him. My late grandfather, Dave Schliek, was able to pass away in the Brainerd hospital where he was being treated before he died away.
He was able to do so while surrounded by his children and wife at the time of his passing, thus he was able to do so peacefully. He had been waging war against cancer for a very extended length of time, but he lost his struggle and went away early this morning without ever having been able to prevail. It has been a long time since they were both alive, but now that he is in heaven, the two of them are reuniting for the first time since they both passed away.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Dad, for everything you have done for me and to tell you that I will miss you more than I am able to express in words. I hope that you will always remember how much you have meant to me. In addition, I would like to use this opportunity to let you know that I will be missing you more than I am able to express in words. You were an incredible father, husband, brother, and grandfather, and we count it as one of the greatest gifts in our lives to have had you in any one of those positions at any point in our family’s history. We are so sorry that we won’t be able to celebrate your life with you.
