Dave Dronen Obituary, Death – Dave Dronen passed away on January 12 at his Minnesota home. Dave fought valiantly with all of our current cancer medications after his diagnosis of a rare cancer on February 8, 2022, but the malignancy and his underlying Parkinson’s Disease ultimately won. Days before Dave was born, his biological father was killed in action during World War II. He moved to Fargo, North Dakota, with his mother, Lillian, and older brother, Don.

Dave attended the North Dakota School of Science in Wahpeton after finishing high school in Fargo to earn an Associate of Arts in Printing. He continued his study at Moorhead State University in Minnesota, where he studied to become a teacher in the field of Industrial Arts. Dave leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Peggy; son and daughter-in-law, Blake (Dana) and Kari (Frank) Dronen, of New Brighton; daughter and son-in-law, Laura (Jason) Dronen-Smith, of White Bear Lake; grandchildren Alexis, Rebecca, Vincent, and Julian; brother and sister-in-law, Don (Cathy) and Karen (Al) Dronen, of Fargo; and many nieces and nephews.

Zenophile Grandbois, Myron Dronen, Lillian Dronen, and Bruce Dronen were Dave’s adoptive parents, and his biological father had passed away. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Alexandria Covenant Church, 4005 Dakota Street, Alexandria, Minnesota 56308 on Friday, May 5th. Gifts in Dick’s memory can be sent to any member of his family, and they will be sent to the Sunland Village East Association Woodshop, one of his favorite places in the world.
