Dan Gaines Obituary, Co-Owner Of Comic Carnival, Dan Gaines Has Died

Dan Gaines Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you that Dan Gaines, a co-owner of Comic Carnival, passed away recently. It is with the deepest regret that we share this news with you. Dan was a devoted fan of comic books and worked harder than anybody else we are aware of to ensure that his shop offered the finest assortment of periodicals, toys, statues, books, and other collectibles for customers like you to enjoy. When I was chatting to Mark Hylton, the original owner of Comic Carnival, he told me that when he interviewed.

Dan told him that it was his (what was then a very young man’s) lifelong dream to work for Comic Carnival. Now, forty years later, Mark was completely content with the choice he had made to work with him. And at the time of his death, he was the owner of his much-loved comic shop. In the event that you would want to make a donation in Dan’s memory, please consider making it to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund in addition to the charities that are listed on the previous link.

Dan was an ardent advocate of free expression and a member of this organization. You could contribute to the protection of comics. On Thursday, we will be closed throughout the day so that our employees can attend the memorial service for Dan. This would have been the final straw for Dan. He was constantly present and willing to put in long hours of labor to ensure that CC remained operational. On Friday at eleven in the morning, our doors will once again be open, and we will get back to business as usual after that. Keep an eye on this space for further information regarding the in-store memorial we are planning for Dan in the near future. If you are already on our email list, you will also receive an invitation through that channel.
