Dale George Obituary, Minot, ND Native Dale George Has Passed Away

Dale George Obituary, Death – Dale Ernest George, loving husband and father, died on March 29, 2023, at the age of 66, in a Minot, ND hospital with his loving family by his side. He had been suffering from COPD for several years.

Dale George was born in Powell, Wyoming on May 20, 1956, to William Dean George and Joan Carol (Shelby) George. Dale grew up in Basin, Wyoming, and attended school in Glendive, Montana, where he graduated in 1974. After graduating, he worked in several oilfield jobs until 1984, when he relocated to Thermopolis, WY, and began working for Fred Hanson at Fred Hanson Construction and Canyon Concrete, which sparked his interest in the concrete industry.

Dale later discovered a passion for flying planes and firefighting, which led him all across the country. Dale’s quips and straightforward, honest approach to life earned him many long-term friends wherever he went. Dale met Teri on one of his many firefighting escapades in Townsend, Montana in 1994. He had two boys and one daughter. They added another boy to their blended family later that year. For several years, their experiences together took them to Wyoming.

They eventually returned to Montana, where Dale obtained a position at Sidney Red-E-Mix and stayed until his health forced him to retire. Dale liked to drive Hercules (his cement truck), volunteer at the local fire department, and watch FOX News. Dale was well-known for his political t-shirts and quick-witted comments. Dale George was predeceased by his father, William Dean George, his mother, Joan Carol Shelby George, and his brother, Donnie George.
