Columbia Student Death, Obituary – McLeod Buckham-White, a student at Columbia College, was found to have passed away this morning, as stated in an email that was distributed by the Dean of Columbia College, Josef Sorett. The notification was disseminated to the people living in the Columbia area. A word of caution from the editor: this article references many deaths.
On Friday morning, Dean Josef Sorett informed the students of Columbia University that McLeod Buckham-White, a senior at Columbia College, had tragically fallen the night before. The incident had occurred at Columbia College. McLeod is a recent addition to the city of Columbia, having come there in the fall of 2019 to begin studies for a degree in Economics with a specialization in Psychology at Columbia University. He was born and raised in Atlanta, which is located in Georgia.
He was quite connected in the Columbia Athletics community due to the fact that he played football for Columbia University. Al Bagnoli, the head coach of the Columbia football team, reflected the team’s thoughts when he said, “We are extremely saddened to learn of the tragic passing of McLeod.” Because of his loss, our entire group is in a state of sadness right now. Everyone on the team admired his work ethic, his tenacity, and his effort, and they looked up to him as a role model.
He was a wonderful member of the squad. During this trying time, the Buckham-White family is in the thoughts and prayers of those of us here at Trinity. Please accept our condolences.
