Alex Johnson Obituary, WOMC 104.3 FM, Dies After Battling Breast Cancer

Alex Johnson Obituary, Death – Alex Johnson passed away. Before being mercifully called home by God, my mother heroically battled breast cancer for ten years. I learned a lot from her struggle about how to battle with love and a good outlook. Everyone who knew my mum can attest to the excellent and tremendously strong lady that she was.

Mother decided more than thirty years ago to move her entire life from the United Kingdom to the United States in order to provide our family with the best possible life. I will always be grateful for the courage it must have required for her to travel to a different country without any money and without completely comprehending the commitment she was making. I’m going to want to model my life after it. After getting her nursing license, she continued to assist individuals in need for the ensuing 25 years.

Even after being initially diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2013, she persisted in working and fought the condition bravely and honorably. Many families don’t survive past the ten-year mark after receiving a diagnosis that is identical to hers, but if you know my mom, you know she doesn’t give up lightly. She was able to see my wedding and the start of a family, which I’m sure made her very happy.

I will always remember the event favorably. One of the hardest days of my life was the first morning I awoke in a world without my mother. But, the knowledge that she is keeping an eye on our family inspires me to work even harder and do all in my power to get her approval. I’d want to thank each and every one of you for your assistance over the past several weeks. I apologize if I didn’t see you or didn’t respond to you. Right now, there is just too much for me to understand, and talking about it is really difficult. Just know that you are adored and that from today, I won’t stop thinking about you.
